Maris loves bath time!

May I offer some parenting advice? If you don't give your children the frilly, unnecessary, and often expensive "extras" they will not become hooked on them. It only took one colored bath tablet to initiate squeals of "Pink bathie!!!!!" everyday at bed/bath time. I expect it to continue for the foreseeable future. Here we are featuring purple.

Today, Maris found her Hillbilly Bone. She also yells "Yee-haw!" and "Awesome!" in this video.

Another walk today! I'm pretty sure all this nice weather means it will snow until June, but it was nice to be outside for so many days in a row!


We went to the park to swing. Maris spent most of the 2 minutes she actually stayed in the swing saying, "Out Mama!"

The beautiful weather continues. I think the temperatures were near 70 today! We went for a long walk. When we got home, I told Maris it was time to go in the house for lunch. She replied by pulling her sunshade down and tucking her feet in.

We've had gorgeous weather the past few days. We took Maris to the zoo today. We have lot of fun pictures, but this one is my favorite. There are two monkeys on that limb and they have their tails entwined. So sweet!

I am a little obsessed with the Census. I don't know why. Perhaps those stellar TV commercials? No. Anyway, imagine my ellation upon finding an envelope marked "Census 2010" in my mailbox. Imagine my disdain when it was not the actual Census but mearly a letter reminding me that when I DO get the Census I should fill it out. The government is a tease.
