P365: Day 111
This is my new oven. It has a clock, a timer, 5 burners - a griddle burner, a simmer burner, and a power burner, and an actual operating broiler drawer. I know that was a lot to ask. It is beautiful. I pretty much fell in love as soon as I saw it.
Then we baked.
And everything came out lopsided.
Oh, they leveled it when they delivered the stove. My husband was standing right there. When the first cake came out we thought it was operator error (not this operator, btw). It looked like the batter had been sloshed to the right of the pan and then stayed there. The next one was the same way. Johnny still wasn't convinced there was anything wrong 4 cakes later. I pulled out the level and measured the stove top and the racks inside. Lo and behold the stove top is level, the racks and the inside of the oven are not.
Sears is delivering a new stove tomorrow.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Great day!
Maris turned 23 months old. (I'm sorry, what??!!!)
Another new episode of the The Greatest Show Ever On TV.... LOST.
Glee came back on air.
But the best thing of all:
My brother and his fiance standing in our basement, fresh off the plane from CO at 11:30 at night. They are here to surprise my mom for her birthday. Greatest surprise ever? Possibly.

I'm pretty sure this moment made my husband more proud than any other thus far.
Incidentally, TODAY is the first day of Spring (at our house). It's Opening Day! We celebrated by wearing our Tribe gear and watching the game. However, the game wasn't worth watching and they lost. Bad. So we'll take our Tribe Time picture on the day of the Home Opener! Stay tuned.

P365: Day 92
We are having a bit of a heat wave. Last night when I tucked Maris in as I went to bed, she was sweating something fierce. I bought her some new spring jammies today so she'd have something to wear until it cools off again.
She was more than a little excited. When I put them on her at bedtime she jumped up and danced around a little shouting, "Fancy! Fancy!"
